Install wine
There are two ways to install wine,
- Add wine's official ppa, you can go to [wine official website] (https://www.winehq.org/), you can download the latest version.

If you want another version, please download it yourself. After the download is complete, please modify the folder name and the .exe executable file name by yourself in English or Pinyin to avoid some inexplicable errors (assuming that I put the game in ~/games/Diablo, and the executable file name is changed to Diablo2.exe ).
Configure wine
In fact, it can be opened by running wine ~/games/Diablo/Diablo2.exe directly in the terminal, but I personally feel that the default execution is very discordant, mainly because it will force full screen.
Here the configuration window is mainly opened.

After that, in the opened window, select the "Display" switch card, check the virtual desktop, if necessary, you can also adjust the resolution of the virtual desktop, but because "Dark" has only two resolutions by default, the adjustment is not necessary for opening the dark effect.
If you still have problems running, you can also modify the windows version of the "Applications" tab. Generally, for Diablo, you should choose xp or win7.
