Recently, after installing the new ubuntu server 20.04, I found that the data was written to the hard disk as soon as it was turned on. The writing volume was not large but continued. The average response time of the hard disk reached more than 1000 milliseconds, which caused a certain degree of lag in the system .
I ran the iotop command under ubuntu and found that the snapd
process is continuously writing. Since I don't need to use Snap, I tried to uninstall it directly.
apt purge snapd
After the uninstallation is complete, writing returns to normal.
