Ubuntu 20.04 Chinese input method support

If you install Ubuntu 20.04 in an English environment, there will be no Pinyin input by default. If you do not install a third-party input method, use the internal Chinese input method as follows:

Chinese input

First, in the settings, select the region and language, corresponding to English:

Manage installed languages

Click Manage installed languages:

language support

In language support, click to add or remove languages...

Make sure Chinese (Simplified) has been installed! If it is not installed, please install Chinese (Simplified).

Chinese (Simplified)

Restart the system after completion. If there is no Chinese support in the above process, the corresponding English will be displayed by default!

After restarting, open the region and language again:

Select input source+:

Chinese

Click Chinese:

Input

You can choose input methods such as Smart Pinyin and Wubi.

Switch the input method used by the keyboard win icon and space bar.
