After installing Ubuntu Kylin 14.04 64-bit, it seems that there is no Chinese input method. How to switch (Ctrl+Shift or space), but the input is all in English.
I can’t input Chinese. One of the headaches is that I cannot write Chinese comments when writing code. . .
I explored a bit today and finally figured it out. The steps are as follows (the following steps are all performed on Ubuntu Kylin 14.04, the blog for reference is http://www.2cto.com/os/201405/305463.html) :
1、 Use Firefox to download "Sogou for linux", the official website of Sogou http://pinyin.sogou.com/linux/ came out on Baidu, click "download 64bit now".
2、 After the download is complete, find the downloaded file (it seems to be in the downloads folder), which is a file with a .deb suffix, double-click it, and then the Ubuntu-specific interface for installing software will pop up.
3、 Then you will see "install" on the right side of the interface, click it to start the installation.
4、 After the installation is complete, "installed" will appear on the left, and then enter im-config in the shell command line; then a dialog box will appear, click OK (YES or OK, I forgot, but just click them); It seems that there will be a dialog box, or click YES; then you will see the following dialog box:
Click "fcitx", then click the button "OK" in the lower left corner, as shown in the figure above; after that, a dialog box seems to appear, click OK; then restart Ubuntu Kylin.
5、 After restarting, you can use Sogou input method (click Shfit or Ctrl+Shfit to try).
6、 I don’t know why, so you can use Sogou input method. The blog I refer to has a few more steps than the above. It’s probably the Ubuntu Kylin 14.04 I installed. After all, this is the Ubuntu team and national defense. The cooperation of the University of Science and Technology is specifically for the Chinese region.
