ubuntu 14.04 install flash invalid solution

Original source: http://forum.ubuntu.org.cn/viewtopic.php?t=466528

I like Opera and Chromium very much, but after installing it under ubuntu 14.04, I found that the flash cannot be played. No flash plug-in is installed because Adobe Flash no longer supports linux. Google developed PepperFlashPlayer to replace the original Adobe Flash
The following describes the first step of PepperFlashPlayer installation method: install, enter the following command in the terminal

sudo apt-get install pepperflashplugin-nonfree

Step 2: Update, enter the following command in the terminal Code:

sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --install

The third step (optional): Check the installed version of PepperFlashPlayer, enter the following command in the terminal

sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --status

If Flash is not running, all you need to do is:

  1. Close the opera and Chromium browsers, and then reopen these two browsers to try
  2. If it still does not run, restart the computer
  3. If it still doesn't run, temporarily disable the plugins and extensions of opera and Chromium, and then only the flash plugin will take effect.

Reference link: https://wiki.debian.org/PepperFlashPlayer is also applicable to other Debian-based Linux distributions

Author PS: This method is very easy to use. I have to say that the flash plug-in has always been a criticism on the Linux platform. As a large company, adobe is similar in nature to a penguin company. It only focuses on business and is open source. The contribution of the company is so small, the "fan" of the big company is missing!
